Vimal Chand (b. 17 October 1966) is a contemporary Indian artist and art educator based in New Delhi. He earned his Master of Fine Arts (Painting) from Jamia Millia Islamia in 1993. Over the past three decades, he has established a distinguished career through numerous solo and group exhibitions across India, including at the Lalit Kala Akademi, Jehangir Art Gallery, and Visual Art Gallery, New Delhi. He has also represented India internationally, notably in the Contemporary Indian Mask Exhibition in Perugia, Italy. Alongside his artistic practice, Vimal Chand is a Senior Lecturer at DIET, Daryaganj, SCERT Delhi, where he serves as the Head of the Innovation Centre for Art and Culture in Education. His works are held in private collections in India, the United Kingdom, the United States, Malaysia, and Switzerland. Through his paintings, he continues to contribute to contemporary Indian art while nurturing future generations of artists and educators.
