Dr. Mamoon Nomani is an acclaimed Indian contemporary artist, educator, and academic with over three decades of experience in the field of visual arts. He is a Professor and former Head of the Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, where he has contributed to art education and research for more than 32 years. He holds an MFA and a Ph.D. in Painting. Dr. Nomani has presented numerous solo exhibitions across India and participated in national and international exhibitions in countries including Italy, the Philippines, and Russia. His work has earned prestigious recognitions, including the Senior Fellowship from the Uttar Pradesh Culture Ministry, the Best Painting Award at Yuva Kala Utsava, and the Research Grant Scholarship from the Central Lalit Kala Akademi. His artworks are held in significant public and private collections in India and abroad, reflecting his enduring contribution to contemporary Indian art.
